Those who know me well know that I am in love with Paris. I visit multiple times per year, and there are few things that get me more excited than French wine and cheese. When I heard about La Jambe in Shaw, a new French wine bar focused on charcuterie, cheese, and small plates, I knew this place had my name written all over it.
We started the evening with a bottle of the Domaine D'Eole rosé from Provence. With melon and peach flavors, the wine was crisp, dry, and a perfect choice for a warm August evening. We opted for the walnut pesto toast as well as a mixed plate of cheese and charcuterie served with bread, honey, and other accoutrements. I loved the food and the vibe of La Jambe. It's a casual and comfortable spot, but also takes its French roots seriously. There's a vibrant mural painted on the wall, and the décor has eclectic touches including mismatched china, and chic Parisian furniture with pink velvet. La Jambe has all of the makings of a great neighborhood spot, and I know I'll be spending a lot of time there in the coming months. It's the perfect place for a glass of wine, a snack, and a daydream about Paris.
