I can’t believe I’m facebook friends with the USDA

In all my years I never thought I’d be facebook friends the US Department of Agriculture (not really a fair statement since I only started using facebook last year) let alone have an interest in what they were doing but, I have to say they are quickly proving me wrong. They are doing some really cool stuff with local gardens, farmers markets and overall food education.

I commonly refer to myself as a “woman without a country” since I can’t seem to find any politicians who actually represent how I feel PLUS with all the bickering and conflict in Congress it’s nice to find a government agency I can get behind. So cheers to you USDA for highlighting some of the issues I care about! Learning about food and nutrition rocks!
